Dr. Lashun Massey, Ph.D

Dr. Lashun K. Massey, P.E. is the proud wife of Jeff Massey and the mother of two boys, RJ and Raylan. She was born and raised in Lambrook, Arkansas to the parents of Mary Ross and Frank King, Jr.

Dr. Massey received her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. She was awarded both a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering degree from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. She is a registered professional engineer and owns an environmental engineering firm, Lashun King Environmental Group, PLLC.

Throughout her career, Dr. Massey has held multiple academic, government, and consulting positions. Her research has been published in national and international peer review journals. She has also been featured in technology magazines and book chapters.

In 2019, she was crowned Mrs. Little Rock and competed for the Mrs. Arkansas America title. During the time this book was published, Dr. Massey was representing the city of Dallas, TX as Mrs. Dallas and was preparing to compete for the title of Mrs. Texas America. She was also serving an appointment in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas.
