It all started when...

Our President received a vision from God for a Book Publishing Company that would provide writers with something they were unable to receive anywhere else, which included guidance on outlining and structuring their book; proofreading and editing with little to no cost; and a compassionate team that actually valued their story and saw it as a necessary contribution to society.

Time after time, Dr. Nioka Smith witnessed so many talented writers forced to settle for self-publishing tools that leave their books unprofessional and lacking quality in design and content; thus making the books unmarketable.

Throughout her reading of the actual books of these self-published authors, Nioka regarded those stories as incredibly amazing and saw so much potential in the writers. She felt that the ones with life-changing stories, powerful testimonies, and amazing advice are all too often overlooked and counted out. Moreover, she was inspired to provide them with competitive, high quality, professional service; while remaining affordable at the same time. Through a combination of her immense passion for life stories and all things writing; her stellar college education; relative experience; and immense skillset in writing, editing, and publishing; God’s direction led her to found J. Kenkade Publishing.
