Line editing, also called stylistic editing, ensures that the sentences in a book are as effective as they can be. A line editor is attentive to the writer's individual style and approaches the manuscript as a careful reader.

Developmental Editing is a critique that addresses various story element issues like poor character development, confusing dialogue, and sentence phrasing. It is used to evaluate the writing for clarity.

A: We believe that a person’s vision for his/her book is very valuable; therefore, we are careful not to make any changes that would affect the message, delivery, or mood of your book. We automatically proofread your book for errors and make changes accordingly. Additionally, if our editors find portions of the manuscript that may not be aligned with our guidelines, we may make adjustments. Please rest assured that our editors will retain the mood, tone and delivery of your message when making revisions. Q: What is the difference between publishing and printing?

A. Great question! Publishing is the process of making your book available for sale to the public. It’s where we gather, create, organize, design, and prepare your book for worldwide distribution, making it readily available to retailers and consumers around the world. It does not include printing. Printing is solely that: the printing of your book.

Q: How many copies come with my book?

A: Remember, you are paying us to “publish” your book, not to “print” your book. However, we have the printing covered for you too! We send you an easy and quick tutorial on how to order your copies to have your book printed upon publication.

Q: Do I choose my formatting for book layout?

A: You are welcome to choose the trim size. All else is left to the publisher’s discretion. You may also choose to add pull quotes as an additional fee. However, the spacing, font, and format are usually left to the publisher and are based off the size of your book, the genre, etc. If you’d like to choose a specific trim size, you must tell us in advance at the time of payment. You cannot change this later.
