David Wayne

David Wayne is an inspiring writer. David was born the last of eight children to JD and Erma Jean White. Growing up in urban Little Rock, David attended public schools and encountered many obstacles along the way. David attended North Little Rock High-West Campus. There he accomplished many academic honors, as a student, graduated above average, and received a college scholarship despite the difficult road it took getting there.

With the scholarship, David attended Philander Smith College, a historical black college.  With a haunting past and  lack of focus, he dropped out of school in two years as an average student.  Approached by the obstacles and adversities of the 1990’s in Little Rock, David was stilted into a life of crime and drug abuse that inevitably resulted in many excursions to jail and prison. After the death of his parents and older sibling,

David is now living in Little Rock with his wife and son, taking a new claim on life, sober and traveling in faith.  David is currently working on a variety of manuscripts for children’s books and a personal memoir of his life and the many things he has encountered.
